Sports In The Work Place

So as a sports fan I think it is necessary to write a post about Manny Ramirez and his new 2 year deal worth 45 million dollars.  Are we to assume that athletes and sports are immune to the horrendous economy we are all part of.  We all know people who are without jobs, or lost their 401K, or hate their jobs but cant do anything about it because there are no jobs out there.  Yet, these athletes sign deals worth millions of millions of dollars.  Albert Haynesworth, the scumbag he is (I'm a Cowboy fan and this link explains it) signed a 100 million dollar contract on Friday.  This man can block and get past another man, that's his talent, yet due to this he is worth 100 million dollars, well God Dammit, I make cold calls like a stud, pay me!
Athletes these days take steroids to make themselves excel at their sports, when was the last time a teacher took a needle to the ass to give him or her an edge at dealing with complaining little fucks?   Then there is of course the cocky attitudes these athletes have, like they are better than me, what did you do that makes you better than me.  You came out of your mother just like I did,  you just can shoot a three better than me, well can you balance my check book?
Listen, I am a fan of sports, I live and breath sports and my teams.  I know many of you are like that as well, but in a time like we are living thru how can we not think that these salaries that these athletes are holding out for and then receiving are ridiculous?  Here is my suggestion pay me a 1% even .5% of Albert Haynesworth's salary.  Everyone can show up at my place of work and watch me do what I do.  You don't like how I made that last phone call boo me, I can take it.  I make a sale start the wave around the office, and unlike sports I wont tear your heart out of your chest and I wont charge you a $100 for a ticket.  I only have a few requests that I need to put in my contract, no drug tests cause well I like to smoke weed when I can.  I don't want to be banned like Mike Phelps and I might come to work hung over or even drunk but hey  so no one knows I'll drink Henningans!

Well that's my rant for the night, I'll keep watching sports everyday, and I'll keep getting paid a hell of a lot less than even the worst players make.  Let me know what you think, good or bad.  I'll be back with some other things tomorrow.

3 things to end the post:

Movie recommendation:  Green Street Hooligans- its  Elijah Fag Woods only good movie.  It is about futbol firms in London.  Very good movie trust me.

Movie quote yesterday was Shawshank Redemption.  Today's quote: " Innocent? Is that supposed to be funny?  An obese man..a disgusting man who could barely stand up; a man who if you saw him on the street, you'd point him out to your friends so that they could join you in mocking him; a man, who if you saw him while you were eating, you wouldn't be able to finish your meal.  After him i picked the lawyer"

Question of the day:  with the lotto being 212 million dollars tonight:  What would be the first thing you bought or first thing you would do if you won the lotto?

Giddy up!
