Luck of the Irish

Erin Go Bragh

Happy St. Patty's day to all my Irish readers as well as anyone else who needed an excuse to drink today.

This is a great holiday especially with the world we are currently living in.  What better than to have a day where people are expected to drink.  Things can't seem to get much worse now a days and stress seems to be building up on everyone.  Everyone is getting tired of the mess and shit we are going to and today so what better than to drink some green beer *how do they get it green?, watch a parade, have an Irish car bomb, dress in green and make a fool of yourself with friends.  Now some might say due to it being on a Tuesday that we loose some of the effect, well first most of us have probably celebrated already, but even if we have drinking in the middle of the week makes it that much easier to get through it.

For the first time today I had cabbage and corn beef, I have had both separately but never together and I must say it is pretty good.  I also had some Sheppard pie felt like a real Irishmen, hey us Jews can enjoy other holidays, its not all gefilte fish and matzoh.  I drank some harp had some laughs.

Those of you still in college being degenerate I am jealous and so is everyone else and hope you are enjoying your day of drinking and partying.  If you are in college and not partying wake up cause your wasting your time.  For those in the real world I hope you enjoyed your day of well drinking but dreading work tomorrow.  For the Irish of Notre Dame you are a disgrace to the Irish barely beating UAB in the NIT give me  a break.

By the way still on St. Patrick's day, what the fuck is this whole thing about pinching anyone not wearing green?  When did this start and why haven't I heard about this before?  Do people actually do this?  Let me know if you have ever heard of this and have participated in it.

Some things about the day:

How cool are leprechauns they protect a pot of gold which is pretty sweet if you could ever find one.  However, if you ever see on, you put that shit down because they are not supposed to be real and if they are they are evil.  Watch the movies, they kill people.

"Kiss me I'm Irish"  this line today is as easy as waiving beads in front of girls.  For some reason beads and this line makes it pretty easy to get at least a kiss.

4 Leaf Clover:  as a superstitious person if you get a hold of this you hold onto that thing.

Whats the deal with green bagels...I know its just food coloring, but no one actually thinks this looks good right?  I am all for showing pride in a holiday but green bagels just is a preview of what its going to look at after a full day of drinking.....

Hope you enjoyed the holiday.

Before I go:

Yesterdays Movie Quote: Big Fish

Todays quote:  "Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, the glory, now and forever. Amen."

Question of the day:  What you do to celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

Last day Reminder, if you want to be in a March Madness pool it is $25.00 and thru CBSsports.com  just im me if you want in.

I will leave you with this quote which makes perfect sense on St. Patty Day:

"Morning is the time to pity the sober. The way they're feeling then is the best they're going to feel all day."

  1. This St Paddy's Day, I drank myself to oblivion so I could temporarily forget that this blog exists.
